Repair is not instant

No, a chronic injury is not “cured” in a single session. Tissue repair happens in phases. The relief you feel on the same day is not, by itself, regeneration.

Tissue repair phases: inflammatory, proliferative and remodeling.

Relief is not the mechanism

In degenerative joint disease, understanding the mechanism changes the plan. Taking pain down for a weekend and strengthening a ligament over weeks are not the same procedure and not the same expectation.

The decision is not only clinical. It is biological.

Relief ≠ regeneration

Symptom relief and tissue repair are not the same thing.

Phases, not events

Each stage of repair needs time, control of inflammation and an appropriate stimulus. If load is advanced too soon, if the gesture that caused the injury is repeated, or if follow-up is abandoned, the procedure is left unfinished.

That is why follow-up matters as much as the day of the injection.

What an honest visit can give you

  • A diagnosis, not a package
  • A plan with realistic timelines
  • The difference between what will calm the symptom and what aims at a change in the tissue
  • A referral when this office is not the right place

How this relates to treatment

Prolotherapy, viscosupplementation and ultrasound-guided injections are understood from this logic. If a page on this site promised “results from the first session”, it would be contradicting the doctor herself.

Educational. Results vary.
